This exhibition showcased the 24 best entries for the Protect Glaslyn & Hafren Photo Competition 2024. The judges were hugely impressed by the number and quality of entries making the task of choosing just 24 all the more difficult.

You can read about the winner Noa Jac Hughes in our other news article https://www.stopbute.energy/post/photography-competition-winner

The photos below show us what an amazing place we have on our doorstep and how precious it is to so many.  Once lost it is gone forever. These photos were showcased in the 2025 calendar with over 350 sold (not for sale anymore).

We are campaigning to protect this area from a proposed wind farm.

We are totally committed to moving to renewable energy but this particular development would destroy one of the few remaining beautiful wild environments which are so vital as a precious habitat for wildlife, locals and visitors alike.

Below are the images from the exhibition, please note these cannot be downloaded / used without the express permission from the photographer.

Our campaign group “Protect Hafren and Glaslyn” was set up to stop Bute Energy’s proposal for 26 220m high turbines by the Hafren and Glaslyn uplands in Mid Wales, called Esgair Galed Energy Park.
